Hurricane Helene relief tabling event

The SC Innocence Initiative together with the E.K. Hardin Pre-Law Society will host a tabling event to help support those affected by Hurricane Helene. We will have information on a variety of organizations currently assisting victims of the hurricane, along with the QR code that will take you directly to their donation page. Conflict in the Middle East: Israel, Gaza, & the Ongoing Regional Nightmare

Join Wofford faculty for a panel on the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. Since last October the conflict between Hamas and Israel has not only consumed Gaza and cost tens of thousands of their lives, but has expanded. In late September, thousands were injured and several were killed when pagers and walkie talkies simultaneously exploded across Lebanon. The panelists will cover key dynamics and answer your questions about what sparked and continues to fuel the current crisis. Lunch is provided.

Land as Kinship: Race and Migration beyond Settler Colonialism, Brian Burkhart

Please join the philosophy department in welcoming, Dr. Brian Burkhart, University of Oklahoma, who will speak about his current work: As Strong as the Land that Made You: Native American and Indigenous Philosophies of Well-Being through the Land. Burkhart is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma with roots in the Jaybird Creek community of Northeastern Oklahoma as well as the Indian Wells community of the Navajo Nation in Arizona. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Indiana University.
