Details: Wofford College and the City of Spartanburg are pleased to invite the community to an artist talk and dessert reception for "The Get Together: The Art of Melvin Nesbitt, Jr." Nesbitt is a Spartanburg native whose art creates "narratives that reflect both the joy and the challenges of Black American communities, often centering children as symbols of resilience, possibility, and continuity." This exhibition is part of the City of Spartanburg's 2026 Juneteenth celebration and will be on display until July 31.

Details: Presession meeting begins the Wofford College academic year. This year it will take place on Tuesday, September 1, beginning with a light breakfast at 8:15 a.m. in the lobby of the Rosalind Sallenger Richardson Center for the Arts. The meeting will begin at 8:45 a.m. in the building's Jerome Johnson Richardson Theatre.

Details: The 2026 SoCon Undergraduate Research Forum (SURF) will be hosted at Wofford this year on Friday, Oct. 9 and Saturday, Oct. 10. SURF brings cadets and students from the eleven colleges/universities of the Southern Conference together for a weekend of sharing and celebrating research and creative projects.
