General Education Courses by Attribute

The attributes and the courses associated with those attributes outlined below are effective as of the 2024-2025 Catalog. Students entering Wofford Fall 2024 or after can utilize the courses and corresponding attributes as presented through the dropdown below. Students that entered Wofford previous to Fall 2024 have a different set of requirements and courses that will fulfill those requirements. Those students should consult the catalog for the academic year in which they entered and/or their degree audit. Catalogs outlining the general education requirements from the 2023-2024 academic year and earlier can be accessed, here: http://catalog.wofford.edu/archive/.

Courses that apply to the Inquiry Across Disciplines or Civic Consciousness general education requirements are assigned a two-character attribute. The courses span multiple disciplines, and the attributes are a way to communicate which courses fulfill each requirement.

To view the courses by attribute, select the requirement/attribute below. Courses with multiple attributes will be listed under both requirements and will apply to multiple requirements.

**Please be aware that the Fine Arts (FA) requirement can be fulfilled one of two ways, either with 3 or 4 credit hours depending on which courses are taken. Two different types of courses are offered, traditional lecture courses and applied courses. Traditional lecture courses are 3 credit hours and will fulfill the requirement with one course. Students fulfilling the requirement with applied Music or Theatre courses will need to complete 4 credit hours in those areas. The applied courses include MUS 100-151, 260, 301, 302, and 351, and THEA 210.
