Wofford Engaged Kick-Off

Are you interested in civic engagement and community service work? If so, you should join the Wofford Engaged (WE) team for our Wofford Engaged Kick-off dinner on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 5 -7 p.m. This will be a time to learn about the mission of WE and how you can be a part of the team! Programming starts at 5:30, so please get food and get settled in the Montgomery room between 5:00 and 5:30!

Damned Whiteness: How White Christian Allies Failed the Black Freedom Movement

Dr. David Evans, professor of history and intercultural studies and associate dean of the seminary at Eastern Mennonite University, continues the 2026-27 "Defining or Dividing?" series with a discussion of his recent book. Evans considers how and why progressive efforts at interracial cooperation often failed during the long Civil Rights movement and what strategies for effective collaboration and dialogue should look like. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signature.

Wofford Engaged Wednesday

Are you interested in civic engagement and community service work? Come join a Wofford Engaged Wednesday (WEW)! We host meetings every Wednesday in Burwell’s Gray-Jones room. Here you can learn about serving the Spartanburg community, hear from community partners on their work, gain training on civic engagement related topics, and more! Programming will begin at 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m., so you can get to a 1 p.m. class. Please get your food and be settled in Gray-Jones before 11:45 a.m.

Blessing of the Animals

Wofford's annual Blessing of the Animals will be on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 12:30 p.m. Please join us as Rev. Ron will bless all the animals by name that you have submitted in pictures. Don't miss a chance to spend time with real animals. Sweet treats will also be provided. Hope to see you there!

All Saints Tolling of the Bell

Please join us Monday, Nov. 2 at 12:30 p.m., on the Seal of Main Building as the names of students, staff, faculty, friends and alumni of the college who have died during the past year are read aloud as the college bell is tolled. All are invited to attend. The ceremony includes a special musical performance from Wofford Singers. We will conclude around 12:45 p.m. The All Saints Remembrance Tolling of the Bell is one of Wofford's important and meaningful traditions.
