Women’s History Month: NPHC & NPC Women in Leadership Panel

Please join us for a discussion on leadership and female empowerment for our Women’s History Month: NPHC & NPC Women in Leadership Panel! Panelists will include Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. , Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Theta, and Tri Delta alumnae members. Light refreshments will be provided at the reception following the panel discussion.

Wofford Jazz Night with guest artist Etienne Charles

World-renowned trumpet player Etienne Charles comes to Wofford for a memorable concert with Tom Wright's Spartanburg Jazz Ensemble. Trinidadian-born Charles is a 2015 Guggenheim Fellow and a 2022 Creative Capital Awardee, and his music mixes creole, jazz, and Caribbean influences to create a soulful, danceable style that is all his own. Admission is free!

Furthering Child Flourishing in the Era of Climate Change

What does the era of climate change in which we now live mean for child flourishing? In what ways can students, professionals, policymakers, and grassroots activists make values-forward decisions to co-create a world in which all children can flourish? Joe Capita, co-founder and CEO of Capita, a non-partisan think tank with global reach, shares stories, data, and big ideas about how we can act now to cultivate a future in which all children can thrive.

Wofford Choral Society: Masterwork Concert

Wofford choral students will be joined by faculty, staff, and community members for the inaugural performance of Wofford Choral Society. The concert, conducted by Dr. Aaron Harp, will feature Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy. The choir will be joined by members of Spartanburg Philharmonic and Dr. Cindy Swicegood will be featured as the piano soloist. The performance is free and open to the public.
