Details: The South Carolina Innocence Initiative will host a powerful event featuring Kristine Bunch, one of 300 women in the U.S. wrongfully convicted and later exonerated. In honor of Wrongful Conviction Day, Kristine will share her account of 17 years of imprisonment for a crime she did not commit, along with her journey advocating for justice reform since her exoneration. Her story also highlights unique challenges faced by incarcerated women, particularly access to health care. Attorney Jim Morton will provide commentary afterward and a reception will follow.
