Cam's Club Second Annual 5k

We will be hosting the 2nd annual Cam’s Club 5k on Sunday, April 27. The event will be held at Wofford College, beginning at Main Building, from 3-6 p.m. We hope you will join our efforts to raise mental health awareness by standing with us to promote suicide prevention. 70% of the proceeds will go toward the Cameron Pappas’ Mental Health Fund which supports and expands mental health resources on Wofford’s campus. How to Write Letters to Lawmakers

Dr. Amalia Luxardo, CEO of the Women's Rights and Empowerment Network, will host a letter-writing workshop open to students, faculty and staff. Dr. Luxardo will lead a discussion and teach attendees how to write letters to lawmakers and why it is important. This event is free, but please RSVP using the link.

PÉTANQUE GAME

Are you familiar with la pétanque? This iconic sport from the south of France can be compared to bocce ball and is played everywhere in France. Please join us 3-5 p.m. on Monday, April 28 at the volleyball field in the Senior Village to try it out! This is open to every member of the Wofford community. The event is sponsored by the French and Francophone Studies program, MLLC Department.

Leading at Every Level: A First Generation Latina's Journey to Breaking Barriers

Women's Leadership hosts Dr. Amalia Luxardo, chief executive officer of the Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network, a gender justice advocacy organization dedicated to advancing the human rights and economic well-being of women and girls throughout South Carolina. Women's Leadership will host a reception with drinks and light appetizers beginning at 4:30 p.m. on the Yorke Family Portico before Dr. Luxardo's talk.

Be part of the Innocence Intiative's new case review unit

The Innocence Initiative at Wofford is pleased to announce the launch of its official collaboration with the North Carolina Center on Actual Innocence! We are expanding our work to include a student case review unit who will help review claims of innocence from South Carolina inmates. Come learn how you can be part of this team, the first of its kind in the southeastern U.S.! You do not have to be pre-law – just passionate about justice for all. There will be food!

Write-In

Do you have a ton of writing to do for your final projects? Every semester, the Writing Center holds a write-in at the Acorn Cafe during the last week of class. Get together with friends for solidarity as we all spend time together getting words on the page. The first 30 people will get a free beverage from Acorn, and your trusty Writing Center crew will be standing by to talk through any questions you might have as you work!

The 2025 SoCon Undergraduate Research Forum (SURF) will be hosted at Wofford this year on Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25. SURF brings cadets and students from the ten colleges/universities of the Southern Conference together for a weekend of sharing and celebrating research and creative projects.
