Surrender to the Process: Afro-Surrealism & the Film Pre-Production Process with Yasmin Lee

Yasmin Lee '23 is a writer-director and interdisciplinary artist. In this presentation, Lee will invite audiences into the pre-production process of her upcoming short narrative film, surrender. Her presentation will discuss the history and typical characteristics of Afro-surrealism and how this aesthetic informs her practice.

Visa Open House for Fall 2024 Study Abroad Applicants

Students studying abroad during the fall 2024 term or 2024-2025 academic year whose program requires a visa can come by the Office of International Programs anytime between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. to discuss the visa application process and have required documents reviewed by staff, no appointment needed. Please note that not every program requires a visa. Contact the OIP with any questions.

Magnifying Murder's Collateral Damage

Psychology Society is excited to share that Sherrerd Hartness, a Converse alumna from the early 1980's, is coming to campus to talk about her experience recovering from the random murder of her younger sister an event that occurred when she was a student in college. Sherrerd will talk about her experiences returning to Converse after the murder, and about the long winding journey that eventually led her to be able to face what happened to her sister and her family.

The 4th annual Wofford Firsts Senior Celebration drop-in event will feature food, music, and fellowship. Additionally, all senior members of Tri-Alpha Honor Society will receive their honor chords.
